Housing and Community Development
The City of New Braunfels receives a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) from the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
These funds are distributed throughout the community to provide eligible recipients with annual grants that can be used to revitalize neighborhoods, expand affordable housing, provide economic opportunities and improve community facilities and services, primarily aimed and low and moderate-income persons.

Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report
Program Year 2016
In accordance with federal regulations governing the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG), the City of New Braunfels will submit the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation Report (CAPER) for Program Year 2016 to the U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development on or around December 30, 2017. The fifteen day Public Comment Period for this document will begin on November 22, 2017 and end of December 6, 2017. A Public Hearing for Citizen’s Comments will be held on November 27, 2017, 6:00 PM, at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting located at City Hall Council Chambers, 550 Landa Street, New Braunfels, TX. This document is available for review at the City Secretary’s office and the New Braunfels Public Library from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday beginning November 22, 2017.
Written and/or verbal comments will be accepted until 4:00 PM, December 6, 2017.
